Unoffendable

Dear Momma,

Do you know those books where you hear the title and then you immediately hear a little voice saying, “that books for you”? That happened to me, actually it happens to me often. Perhaps, that’s why I love to read because I can be ministered to through such amazing stories. It’s funny to me, because Jesus, who was the greatest story-teller of all time, also gave stories that just gripped people completely and changed them in an instance.

The title that began to grip me immediately was “Unoffendable: How just one change can make all of life better.” That title is a bit humbling if I may say so myself. My first thought was, “OK, Lord, maybe I do get offended easily. I’ll read it, but I’m not excited at all about this.”

This book comes with a study as well. This can be an amazing small group read. Oh my word, let me tell you that I can go back and read and reread this book again and again. But instead of the study, instead of the information for preparation of a small group, I’m left with a prayer after reading this book.

I’m left with a prayer I’ve prayed over me, my children and your children, too.

Let’s turn our Eyes to Jesus because it’s all for His Glory.

In love,
Kassie Leigh

Dear Holy Spirit,

I praise you for the gift of a story. I praise you for your people sharing their testimonies. I praise you that whether it be through a word, a book, a vision or the smallest experience, I can be transformed.

Please show me how to truly not worry about tomorrow, but rather be in the present of today. Forgive me for all of the times I’ve justified my anger/worry/anxiety. I want to give you all of that garbage. I repent for ever putting anything with my self-worth or identity in anything/anyone outside of you.

Align my heart, posture my heart and my eyes and ears to you only.

I repent for holding onto worry/anger/insecurity/fear and I hand it all over to you today. I relinquish my right to anger, worry, fear and anxiety.

I choose to trust you and you alone, Lord.

Please show me how to step into you, Lord, daily. I say that I trust you, but show me how to truly trust you.

Please Lord, show me how to live as if I have nothing to lose, with a fearless faith in You and Your Promises. Lord, please take away my ideas of rightness. Holy Spirit, show me how to live my life, each day, loving others so they know I’m yours. Holy Spirit, gently, I ask, can you show me how to give my ALL and my everything to you. Show me how to leave it all on the table for You. Show me how to live in amazement of your amazing love. Show me how to really love you and to really truly believe you and really truly believe you love me too. Please, Lord, take any unbelief I have far away from me. Lord, please take my ideas away of always having to be “right”, and instead replace that thinking with loving others and fixing my eyes, my ears, and my heart on you.

Lord, please show me how to have joy in each gift You have given me.

Holy Spirit, I choose to give up my anger and walk away from it, but I can’t do so without You.

Holy Spirit, show me how to live a ministry of peace and teach me how to noy place myself first, but encounter self-forgetfulness more in a sense that my eyes are so fixed on You, that You is what consumes me.

Lord, show me how to embrace the breathtaking unfairness of your Kingdom. Show me how to love others, so through the Holy Spirit in me, they will fall in love with you.

Lord, make me unoffendable.

It is in the power and the majesty of Jesus mighty Name I pray,

Amen.
