Prayer Warrior Book Club
Hey Momma!
One valuable lesson I learned from a spiritual mentor of mine when it comes to leading small group studies:
be prepared & be flexible.
My sister reminded me that you don’t need to know everything to start. Sometimes, you just need to start, which can be the most difficult part.
The Prayer Warrior Mom book transformed my prayer life. I bet there’s a chance it may do that for you, too. For today, I just wanted to share how I got things going for a small group of momma’s. Use this outline if you wish. Edit it and make it better by all means, too!
Here was what I sent out to our small group of mom’s who met throughout the spring on my back deck, seeking to become prayer warriors for our families and households. Sometimes, you won’t need an entire plan laid out, but sometimes you will. This book is well worth it!
Enjoy!
Let’s turn our Eyes to Jesus because it’s all for His Glory.
In love,
Kassie Leigh
Prayer Warrior Mom Book Club
“Every mom needs help. All of us have weaknesses, sin patterns, bad habits, and tendencies that require us to lean on the Lord for strength each day. We also need to be able to lean on each other as sisters in the faith. Because of your great responsibilities, you need to be healthy and whole. Your kids need a Prayer Warrior Mom who can actively engage in battle for them” (75).
Goals:
Grow closer to the Lord through this book and through our group discussions
Become even more equipped and empowered to be Prayer Warrior Mommas
Participate in a group of prayerful Prayer Warrior Mommas which will bless ALL of our children
Where can I purchase this book?
Click here as well as Amazon or other book stores. You can find it for less than $5.00!
When will I need to have the book in my hands by?
We will begin our meetings at the end of January (but we will decide on the best dates/times)
What if I miss a reading?
It’s ok!! I’d rather us gather and connect, most importantly:) If you haven’t read, please don’t let that be the reason to not attend.
Where will we meet?
We can meet at our house (unless anyone has other ideas in mind)
How often will we meet?
We are all busy mommas!! The best study groups I’ve participated in with other busy mommas were when we met once per month. Most of us had to pencil the dates in ahead of time and knew we’d have to miss something-a practice, making dinner, etc. When it’s planned around, the time together is OH so worth it! If we begin meeting at the end of January, here’s how our meetings would go:
Gathering #1-End of January (Discussing chapters 1, 2, 3)
Gathering #2-End of February (Discussing chapters 4, 5, 6)
Gathering #3-End of March (Discussing chapters 7, 8, 9)
Gathering #4-End of April (Discussing chapters 10, 11, 12)
Gathering #5-End of May (Discussing chapters 13, 14, 15)
If you’re still with me, THANK YOU! If your household is like mine, participating in a book study with other momma’s requires me to sit with my husband and our calendar to make everything work. So, please click on the link below to let me know the best days and times that will work for you to meet for our 5 gatherings.
